August has been an important month for our partners at Top-Co Inc., formerly Top-Co LP. Anyone who has been to their website in recent weeks will have noticed a change to their corporate branding, as they have a fresh new logo and slogan. Top-Co has been investing in manufacturing, engineering, customer service, distribution, and information technology, to improve quality, performance and delivery times. They are also focusing more closely on wellbore integrity, and have implemented a new ‘fit-for-purpose’ engineering methodology.
To assist in proliferating Top-Co’s new processes, our Tallys team is currently rolling out a new and standardized set of Top-Co equipment descriptions which fit the new ‘fit-for-purpose’ standard. As many of these new descriptions are much longer than previous, a new Top-Co specific shipment report has been implemented, which omits dangerous goods classifications in order to accommodate more lengthy equipment descriptors. The new shipment form will also prefix delivery ticket numbers with a yard ID provided by Top-Co, and include contact information for the engineer or customer contact who placed the order.
Last year, Top-Co celebrated its 50th anniversary in the Canadian oil patch. We are very proud that Tallys remains the inventory management solution of choice at Top-Co Inc. stock yards and warehouses across Canada.
