Tallys was introduced to the Canadian Oilpatch almost 20 years ago, and has maintained a strong presence as the go- to pipeyard management solution for oil country tubular goods. Our branding has evolved over the years, and today we are taking a ‘Throwback Thursday’ look at the younger faces of Tallys.
The debut logo was commonly referred to as “the sawblade” and evoked the razor sharp accuracy that reassured early Tallys users and helped the program to gain a foothold in tubular supply market. This logo also included an exclamation mark which, in hindsight, tied in nicely with the industry’s swift and dramatic adoption of the solution.
To follow, came the “cigarette carton“ logo, which included a graphic of racked pipe. This logo first appeared in brown and later in black. The exclamation point was dropped, no indication of any sort of lost excitement about how Tallys automates every aspect of the pipeyard business.
Finally we arrive at the present. In early Summer 2013, with the launch of the new www.tallys.ca home page, NWSP hired a design team to revamp our logo for a more contemporary look. The new ‘T’ is a big hit with customers, who often express an interest in ‘Tallys swag’. It’s a great sign of approval that folks are keen to wear the new brand on a hat or T-shirt.
