We stumbled across this interesting video by David Whitfield Jones about a stuck pipe at a rig site.  According to the uploader, it was part of an longer piece on stuck pipes that was created for ARCO in the mid 1990’s.

 

 

David writes:

VisualWorks produced an entire interactive educational series on stuck pipe for Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO), later bought by BP.

 

Aside from the noticeable lack of modern safety gear, this preview certainly sets up an interesting situation that is all too common in the oil patch.   With the right musical score and swift editing, the author manages to create drama and tension.   The actors seem to be very familiar with the script material, very likely they are industry workers themselves.
